This fun-filled eight-hour excursion is sure to be a favorite vacation day for the family, a group of friends or co-workers, or even just a small group wanting to spend quality time together. The excursion begins at Englewood Boat Basin, Sinterra’s home marina, located on Henry Hudson Drive in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Guests are in for a full day of sun and fun, beginning with the ride south to Sandy Hook, NJ aboard the beautiful Power Catamaran that is outfitted with lots of space for capturing the warm rays all day long.

The first thirty minutes of the ride is at a quicker pace until we slow down to allow guests to take in the sights of New York City, passing by the sights of Upper Manhattan, beyond Pier 86, past Lower Manhattan and the Trade Center. Just to the starboard side, the Statue of Liberty will come into view and riders will be able to take photos as Sinterra motors between the adored national monument and Governors Island on the port side. Shortly Sinterra will pass beneath the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and out into the Lower Bay, crossing the waters into New Jersey.

Sandy Hook is the first land mass that comes into view as Sinterra heads directly south. The barrier spit includes Gateway National Recreation Area and boasts a gorgeous sandy coastline along the Atlantic Ocean on the east side, but her western coast offers secret spots that Sinterra can pull into to allow guests a chance to enjoy the beach and water, at ease and protected from the rough waves.

Beautiful Horseshoe Cove awaits our guests. Master Captain Gary will drop the anchor just before noon and we’ll set up for a scrumptious lunch. As soon as we are settled in the cove, guests will have almost five hours to enjoy the views of the water and the beach. This is the time to simply relax and soak in the sun, or spend that quality time appreciating each others company with meaningful conversation.

At 4:30pm we’ll pull up the anchor and make our way back up the Hudson, ducking into Raritan Bay for just a bit to enjoy a gourmet dinner on the boat before heading back to the marina. This trip will not disappoint. If you are looking for a casual day out on the water, seeing spectacular sights and making fabulous memories, then this is the trip for you!
