If you are looking to create an unforgettable experience for your favorite people, then this full-day adventure is perfect! This exclusive voyage will allow you to experience the Long Island Sound and the North Shore in a truly unique way, that you and your guests won’t ever forget. Your excursion begins at Englewood Boat Basin, Sinterra’s home marina, located on Henry Hudson Drive in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. You’ll want to arrive a bit early, because we are packing a lot in to this day, and you won’t want to miss one minute!

The trip will begin with a quick crossing of the Hudson River and then Sinterra will enter the Harlem River and cruise down past Yankee Stadium, traversing beneath plenty of bridges and then making a hard left (almost a U-turn) to head up the East River past Rikers Island and then under the Throgs Neck Bridge, entering the Long Island Sound. Be sure to look up to see how close the planes are as they make their decent to LaGuardia International Airport.

As soon as the boat enters the Sound, the landscape dramatically changes. The urban panoramas are replaced with stunning scenes of luxurious homes on the North Shore with impeccable grounds, beautifully manicured gardens, and picturesque overlooks that represent the wealth and prosperity of Long Island.

Sinterra will continue northeast past Little Neck Bay, Manhasset Bay, the Homestead House and Homestead Bay until she arrives at the famous “Oyster Bay”, remembered in Billy Joel’s song “Billy the Kid”. The Piano Man’s sprawling $30M estate sits right on the point. The boat will cruise slowly once we are into the Sound so guests can marvel at the mansions and enjoy the beauty of the views which just get better and better as we cruise.

Master Captain Gary will gently steer inside the Bay around curves that show off Sagamore Hill, Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park and Oyster Bay National Wildlife Refuge. He’ll find the best spot to drop anchor and serve up a delicious lunch to satisfy even the hungriest of appetites.

Eight hours may sound like a long day, but it flies by on the water! There’s nothing better than the hot sun on your shoulders while you cool off in the Bay, enjoying a cold drink and some delicious snacks. If your party wants to continue sightseeing in the afternoon, just let the captain know. It’s your call. This is an excursion so unique and truly breathtaking, filled with sun, sea, and sights!

At 4:30pm we’ll pull up the anchor and make our way back to our marina, but not before a delicious dinner followed by delectable desserts. This trip is spectacular.
